Aakash Chopra questioned India batting order in first ODI against West Indies

Aakash Chopra questioned India batting order: Aakash Chopra, a former cricket player, questioned India’s choice of opening order in the first ODI against West Indies.

IND vs. WI: India and West Indies played a match at Kensington Oval. The foreign team won by 5 wickets and did a great job. In the match, the Indian team’s hitting order changed a lot as they tried to reach a small goal of 114 runs. Rohit Sharma, who is the captain of that team, came up to bat in the seventh spot. The opening was done by Ishaan Kishan. In this case, the former cricket player has asked questions about this.

Aakash Chopra thinks that Ishan Kishan’s half-century at the top of the order hasn’t helped India get into the second wicketkeeper-batsman final for the ODI World Cup in 2023. Kishan made 52 runs off of 46 balls in the game, helping Rohit Sharma and his team reach their goal of 114 runs with five wickets left and 27.1 overs to spare.

Akash Chopra’s search for another wicketkeeper did not end with Kishan’s 50

Chopra said in a video on his YouTube page that Kishan’s fifty hasn’t helped him pass Sanju Samson and become India’s second wicketkeeper-batsman after KL Rahul. He said that Kishan could have tried out for the spot in the World Cup if he had played at number four. But he didn’t get a chance like that.

Aakash Chopra said, “Ishaan Kishan was kept at number 4, so you can see that this team sees him as the second wicketkeeper who will bat in the middle order. It makes a lot of sense.” But you gave him a chance to hit, and he hit a fifty. He is able to do it. In ODIs, he has made a score of 200.

Ishaan Kishan is the best choice for a back-up starter

Chopra said that if India needs a third opener and Shikhar Dhawan is not on the team, Kishan is without a question the best choice. But he said that the left-handed batter couldn’t try out if he was being tried out to open in the middle order.
