The Afghan team led by Hashmatullah Shahidi is busy playing practice matches before the start of the major tournament. Meanwhile, during the photoshoot, many key players of the team were seen dancing to the World Cup theme song ‘Dil Jashn Bole’, the video of which has been shared by ICC.
On Monday (October 2), ICC shared a video on Instagram. In this video, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Naveen-ul-Haq and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are getting a photoshoot done wearing the World Cup kit. During this, they all were seen enjoying the song ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ and also said the tagline of the song.

It is noteworthy that the Afghan team was to play its first practice match of the tournament against South Africa on 29 September, which was washed out due to rain. Now Hashmatullah Shahidi and Company will play their second and last practice match against Sri Lanka on October 3 in Guwahati.

However, the team’s recent performance has been quite poor. In the month of August, Afghanistan faced a 3-0 defeat in the ODI series against Pakistan and after this the team was also eliminated from the group stage in the Asia Cup.
