Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is only 21 years old, made a splash on his Test debut. Jaiswal scored a century on the second day of the first Test against the West Indies being played in Dominica. Jaiswal began by playing 16 balls, and he continued after that. He passionately attacked the Windies bowlers’ class by executing superb shots one by one. Jaiswal smashed 11 fours while scoring a century in 215 balls. He created a significant record in his name with this.

Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian batsman to record a century outside of his home country in a Test match. He also became the third Indian batsman to record a century on his Test debut at the same time. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw each got a Test century earlier this year against Australia and the West Indies, respectively, in Mohali and Rajkot.
Following Jaiswal’s century, cheers erupted in the Team India dressing room. After reaching his century, Jaiswal bowed respectfully to the elders and was clapped for by Rohit Sharma.
